This course seeks to provide enough information to be able to identify asbestos use and avoid risks associated with damaging or disturbing the material.
Certificate of attendance
The course is in line with the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) L143 for the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, in particular Regulation 10 on Information, Instruction and Training which states that the following should be covered – the properties of asbestos; the types, uses and likely occurrence of asbestos and asbestos containing materials (ACMs) in buildings and plant; the general procedures to be followed to deal with an emergency; and how to avoid the risks from asbestos.
