The Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course has been designed to meet the needs of site supervisors within the construction industry This course is for first line managers – those who have to, or are about to, acquire supervisory responsibilities. The course aims to highlight the need for risk assessment in the workplace, implementation of the necessary control measures and adequate communication and monitoring in order to provide and maintain positive standards of health, safety and welfare on a construction site.

There is a 30 minute, 25 question, objective multiple-choice examination at the end of the course.
Successful candidates will be awarded the Site Safety Plus CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Certificate, which is valid for 5 years.

This course is designed for all workers on construction sites, to raise the awareness of safety. The course covers the legal responsibilities of the employer and employee.

This course is designed to provide supervisors with the appropriate knowledge and health and safety skills to beable to supervise their work safely, and consequently reduce the accident rate.

The NEBOSH Construction has been created with managers and supervisors in mind, to help them understand and ensure the activities under their control are undertaken safely for both members of the public and the contractors.

Candidates taking this course should demonstrate a basic understanding of the practical aspects of the construction industry.

To provide delegates with a good, or updated knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) regulations, incorporating the changes introduced by the 2007 regulations.

Our next course commences on 7th September 2010 and is intended for project managers, site managers and supervisors as well as proprietors of small to medium sized companies, in construction type industries.

This qualification is listed in the Approved Code of Practice for the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations as a ‘demonstration of competence’ in the role of site manager.
