Most of my health and safety training experience and qualifications come from my background in the services which gives me a practical and “hands on” approach to health and safety.
Much of my past experience is related to the quarrying / heavy plant and construction sectors with a healthy mix of generalist knowledge, and a few areas which you don’t normally find in the “high street”.
Having spent most of my life in the great outdoors I am always keen to spend my spare time outside, getting involved in sports and county pursuits.
Having a good sense of humour and a firm grip on the real issues of health and safety is important to me and given my background I have seen many examples of hard lessons learnt from picking up the pieces of accidents.
I am a firm believer in the philosophy that “no question is a silly question with regard to Health and Safety” (and I find most answers can be found over a chat and a cup of tea).
