Introduction

The Core Day session is to ensure that all delegates grasp the basics of general health and safety good practice in all industries.

Course Aims

The course is designed to impart a basic knowledge of health and safety to delegates, so that after an appropriate induction, they are able to work at significantly less risk to themselves and others.

Course Contents

• Introduction to health and safety law and work permits
• Workplace safety
• Fire precautions and procedures
• Accident and First Aid procedures
• Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Manual Handling
• Noise at Work

Duration Of Course

1 day - The passport is valid for 3 years at which time a refresher course must be taken.
